This from life oil sketch of the Rt Hon Tony Blair PM was drawn by Jonny Yeo whilst working on the tryptic commissioned by the Palace of Westminster Works of Art Committee during the 2001 general election campaign. The Sunday Times described it as a ruthlessly truthful portrait. This is the first commissioned portrait of the Prime Minister. This was the first time that an artist had been selected to follow the three party leaders on their campaign trail and the resulting picture ''Proportional Representation'' is now hanging in Portcullis House - the new annexe to the Palace of Westminster.
Jonny Yeo born in 1970, studied at Kent University and is now considered one of the country's leading contemporary portrait painters.
